Who can get involved?
Anyone over the age of 18 is welcome to come along! We don't care if you have never put on a pair of skates in your life, everyone starts somewhere. We welcome people of all abilities and backgrounds. Please bear in mind that all participants are asked to sign a waiver to show that you understand like any sport, it can be a dangerous activity (but totally addictive and fun!) We believe in equality. Our training sessions are open to anyone, no matter who you are or where you come from, what size or shape you are, and regardless of your ability.

How much does it cost?
If you sign up to our "fresh meat" beginners course, the first session is free. We don't think you should pay to do something if you don't even know if you like it yet. Each session after that is £10, or £5 if you bring your own kit. Once you have passed the fresh meat course, you pay £35 a month which gives you access to ALL of the sessions, 3 nights a week. We run
fresh meat intake  once every 5 weeks, keep an eye on our facebook page as places are super competitive!

What are the commitments?

The desire to keep pushing yourself, to learn new things and to be the best!
First and foremost, we are a Roller Derby club, not a Roller Skating club. This means, as well as having fun and making new friends, you will be required to:

- Attend training regularly
- Participate in drills and games
- To be enthusiastic about your training
- Work hard!

On top of learning to play Roller Derby and helping each other through training, we also do:

- Skate marathons
- Skate maintenance nights (where we fix and clean our skates together)
- Watch live games together
- Fundraisers, club nights and pub quizzes supporting the club and charities
- After practice Maccy D's! (optional, but so so so gooood)

What will roller derby do for ME?
Roller derby is more than just a sport, it's a lifestyle. Lots of our members say it is the best thing they've ever done. We will help you to:
Grow your confidence, learn life skills, lose weight and get fit, become part of a family and make friends for life!

If you have any more questions, get in touch. We're sure we will see you soon!
